About What Made It?
What Made It? helps you understand what an image file tells you, and what it cannot tell you. You can see the clues behind each result instead of relying on a single unexplained score.
Upload a JPEG, PNG or WebP image to get a report on the clues available in that file. The report may include file details, Content Credentials and AI-detection results when those checks are available. If the clues are missing or disagree, the result says so.
Our team maintains the app, website and guides. You can contact us if you have a question about a result or notice something that needs correcting.
An assessment does not prove authorship, intent, copyright ownership or legal admissibility. Missing metadata or missing Content Credentials is not proof of AI generation. The product should not be the sole basis for employment, legal, financial, moderation or safety decisions.
